Damp & Mould Surveyor Pathway — Online
Damp & Mould Surveyor Pathway — Online
The three-course online route to telling damp, mould and condensation apart — and evidencing which one you’re looking at.
Start with the Damp Surveyor Online Certification (FODCS), City & Guilds Assured, and learn the FOD 7-Step Damp Survey Method. Add Mould Assessment & Remediation, aligned with IICRC S520 and WHO guidance, so you can specify remediation rather than recommend a wipe-down. Finish with Ventilation, Condensation & Moisture Risk Management — the course that prevents the misdiagnosis behind most damp disputes, where condensation gets written up as rising damp and the wrong work is specified.
That distinction is exactly what Awaab’s Law is holding the housing sector to. All three courses are self-paced with lifetime access. On certification you’re eligible to apply for Federation of Damp membership and a listing on the public Find a Specialist register.
Who it’s for: damp surveyors wanting formal certification, contractors moving into survey work, and anyone assessing rented stock under Awaab’s Law.
