WHY START WITH THE BEGINNER COURSE?

Foundations first, then certification

New entrants take the Beginner Damp Surveyor Course before FODCS. Here’s why.

✓
It’s the language of FODCS

FODCS is written for people who already understand how moisture moves through a building. Without that, the course is much harder going.

✓
Good habits from the start

Newcomers often lean on a moisture meter reading. The Beginner course teaches why a reading alone can’t diagnose damp, before bad habits form.

✓
Your reports depend on it

Certification requires one report to pass FOD review. A solid foundation is what makes your report hold up.

✓
Confidence on site

You’ll recognise what you’re looking at, so the practical side of FODCS makes sense straight away.
