Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 17 September 2026
These Terms & Conditions explain how you may use Federation of Damp, book training, purchase membership and use our services. Please read them before registering, booking or buying from us.
1. Who we are
Federation of Damp is a trading name of Certify Damp UK Ltd, registered in England and Wales (company number 16178536). Our registered address is Basepoint Cressex Enterprise Centre, Lincoln Road, High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire HP12 3RL.
Contact us at info@federationofdamp.co.uk or 0808 501 4090.
2. Accounts and eligibility
You must provide accurate, current information when creating an account, applying for membership or making a booking. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity carried out through your account. A company account owner is responsible for the employees and account users they add.
Where a course has entry requirements, these will be shown on its course page. We may decline enrolment where those requirements are not met.
3. Courses, bookings and access
A course place is confirmed when we issue a booking confirmation after successful payment, subject to any stated eligibility requirements. Course outlines, delivery format, dates, venue and trainer details are shown at the time of booking. We may make reasonable changes where necessary and will notify booked learners as soon as practicable.
- Online courses: access is personal to the learner and must not be shared, copied or resold.
- Classroom courses: you must arrive on time, follow reasonable venue and safety instructions, and bring any items stated in your joining details.
- Completion and certification: certificates are issued only when the applicable learning, assessment and payment requirements have been met.
4. Prices and payment
Prices and any applicable VAT are shown before checkout. Payment is due in full when you book unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. We may withhold access, certification or booking confirmation until payment has cleared.
5. Cancellations, transfers and refunds
Course fees are non-refundable for a change of mind, non-attendance, scheduling conflicts or an inability to complete a course. For classroom bookings, we may transfer a place to another scheduled date if you contact us by 5pm on the previous working day and a suitable place is available.
This policy does not remove any statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded, including rights that may apply if a service is not provided with reasonable care and skill, is not as described, or where a cancellation right applies before digital content is supplied.
6. Membership, approval and directory listings
Training, certification, membership, approval, vetting and directory listing are separate services. Completing a course does not by itself grant Federation of Damp membership, approval, vetting status or a directory listing.
Membership applications and ongoing membership are subject to the applicable Membership Agreement, membership requirements and our approval process. We may suspend or remove membership, approval or a directory listing where required to protect users, uphold standards or address a material breach.
7. Specialist directory and customer enquiries
Directory information is supplied by members and may be checked or verified by us. Customers may submit an enquiry to a named specialist or choose suitable businesses shown by the matching process. An enquiry is not a guarantee of work, a response, availability or a contract between any customer and specialist.
Specialists remain responsible for their communications, quotations, work, insurance, legal obligations and any contract formed with a customer.
8. Acceptable use and intellectual property
All course content, resources, graphics, branding and website material are owned by or licensed to us. You may use them only for your personal or internal business learning. You must not copy, reproduce, share, sell, adapt or distribute them without our written permission.
You must not misuse the site, interfere with its security or operation, attempt unauthorised access, upload harmful material, or use another person’s account.
9. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profit, loss of business or loss of opportunity arising from use of the website, training or directory. Our training and resources are educational and do not replace independent professional, legal, technical or site-specific advice.
10. Changes and ending access
We may update these Terms where reasonably necessary. The current version will always be available on this page. We may suspend or end access where there is a material breach of these Terms, fraud, misuse or a security risk.
11. Complaints and governing law
Please contact us first at info@federationofdamp.co.uk so we can try to resolve any concern. These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.
By using our website, creating an account, applying for membership or booking a course, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
